Job Purpose:

The HR Officer manages daily HR operations, including activity reporting, the fingerprint attendance system, and timesheet verification. Key responsibilities include entering employee data for payroll, addressing salary inquiries, and resolving discrepancies. The role also involves recruitment, maintaining employee records, and providing support on HR topics like leaves and compensation.

Activities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day HR functions across all departments.
  • Maintain employee files and records in both paper form and the ERP system.
  • Assist with data entry and follow up on missing documents.
  • Collect and verify timesheets for accuracy.
  • Enter employee information and payroll data into the system.
  • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies.
  • Address employee questions and concerns regarding salaries.
  • Coordinate with the finance department to track pay periods.
  • Ensure all employees utilize the fingerprint attendance system and submit related reports.
  • Monitor and follow up on timesheets daily at both sites and the main office, resolving any issues that arise.
  • Collect attendance sheets and ensure timesheets are signed by employees and site managers.
  • Manage the recruitment process, including identifying candidates, conducting reference checks, and issuing employment contracts.
  • Prepare employee financial letters and termination documents.
  • Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems.
  • Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Intermediate proficiency in English.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of human resources best practices and Libyan labor law.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems.

Experience

  • Minimum of one year of experience in the human resources field
