Job Purpose:

The QA/QC Site Engineer is responsible for implementing and maintaining quality control procedures on-site to ensure all activities meet project specifications, client standards, and regulatory requirements. This role involves conducting inspections, reviewing materials, managing documentation, and coordinating with clients and contractors to uphold the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance.

Activities:

• Ensure the quality and workmanship of all project activities, including civil, mechanical, and E/I works.

• Perform inspections and verify materials, fabrication, and installation processes in line with project specifications and ITPs.

• Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation, including inspection requests, test reports, calibration records, non-conformance reports, and site instructions.

• Supervise testing activities and ensure that quality standards are achieved and maintained throughout project execution.

• Coordinate with procurement to verify material quality and compliance before delivery.

• Review and approve method statements, inspection test plans, and quality checklists.

• Participate in internal and external quality audits and provide corrective actions when required.

• Ensure all inspections and controls are performed according to project quality procedures.

• Prepare and maintain final quality dossiers for project handover, including welding, coating, and NDT documentation.

• Liaise with client representatives and project engineers to ensure inspection readiness and smooth approvals.

• Support the Quality Manager in implementing company QA/QC policies and continual improvement processes.

• Report daily and weekly quality activities and progress to the Quality Manager.

Required Qualifications:

Certificate 

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
• QA/QC Certification (e.g., CSWIP, API 570, or equivalent)
• NDT Level II Certification (preferred)
• ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems (preferred)

Experience

Minimum 5 years of experience in QA/QC engineering in the oil and gas sector

Advanced Skills

The QA/QC Site Engineer must have a strong understanding of API, ASME, and ISO 9001 standards, with proven experience in quality audits, inspections, and non-conformance management. They should be proficient in NDT methodologies, welding and painting inspection, and quality reporting, and possess strong communication and decision-making abilities.

Proficient Skills

The QA/QC Site Engineer should be capable of managing quality documentation effectively, ensuring compliance with ISO 9000 standards, and supporting audit preparations. Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and Word, along with strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure, are essential.
