Job Purpose:

The Site Piping Engineer is responsible for supervising and coordinating all piping
fabrication, installation, testing, and commissioning activities at Wazen Oil Services’
project sites. The role ensures compliance with project drawings, specifications,
international standards, and HSE requirements, while maintaining close coordination
with engineering, QA/QC, planning, and procurement teams. The engineer plays a
key role in achieving safe, timely, and high-quality project delivery.

Activities:

• Supervise and monitor piping fabrication, erection, and testing at the project site.

• Ensure compliance with design drawings, project specifications, and HSE requirements.

• Review isometric drawings, material take-offs, and ensure availability of materials and tools.

• Coordinate with QA/QC teams to verify weld joints, NDT requirements, and hydrotesting procedures.

• Prepare and maintain all relevant site documentation and reports.

• Support the commissioning and mechanical completion activities.

• Resolve site technical issues in collaboration with engineering and project management teams.

• Monitor contractor performance and ensure work progress aligns with schedule and quality standards.

• Enforce safe work practices and ensure the site team adheres to company safety policies.

• Report daily progress and challenges to the Project Engineer or Construction Manager.

Required Qualifications:

Certificate

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline).

• CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector Certification (preferred)

• API 570 Piping Inspector Certification (preferred)

• HSE and First Aid Training (preferred)

Experience

Minimum 7 years of site experience in piping construction within the oil and gas sector

Advanced Skills

The Site Piping Engineer should have a deep understanding of piping codes and standards, including ASME and API. They must have experience with welding procedures, material specifications, and hydrotesting methods, along with strong planning, leadership, and problem-solving capabilities.

Proficient Skills

The candidate should be skilled in using MS Office and ERP systems, reading and interpreting P&IDs and isometric drawings, and coordinating effectively with field teams. Strong communication, teamwork, and site supervision skills are essential for this role.
